COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER

Position Summary

Commercial Loan Officer solicits and services a variety of small to moderate size commercial loans, including SBA loans.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Counsel current and potential commercial loan applicants on their needs and assist them in selecting the best product to meet their needs
  • Research market segment potential for loan products and develop targeted marketing plan to reach potential customers
  • Analyze marketing strategies to adapt and adjust them to improve results
  • Generate business through mix of cold calling, community involvement, and frequent customer contact
  • Assess viability of customer business plan and utilize Credit Analyst summaries to approve, deny, or alter a lending plan
  • Make alternative recommendations to borrowers who are creditworthy, but may not qualify for the requested loan
  • Assist credit analysis process by soliciting required financial information, as needed
  • Ensure all required documentation of the lending process is maintained and available
  • Cross-sell other bank services as opportunity arises

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance with 2 to 5 years of commercial lending experience, preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of banking and financial industry, including laws and regulations
  • Commercial real estate and underwriting experience, preferred
  • Effective sales, organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements, including tax returns
  • Fundamental understanding of the credit analysis process and requirements

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - SHELBYVILLE

Department:  Retail Branches

Reports to:  Branch Operations Manager

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt/Hourly

Summary:  Provide a variety of customer transactions, as well as process customer requests.

Location:  1835 Marketplace Blvd., Shelbyville, IN

Average Hours/Week:  38-40 hours

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cashing handling experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills.
  • Basic clerical skills including working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to proactively solicit new business.
  • Physical requirement:  May be required to stand for periods of time and may be required to lift bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Process customer financial transactions.
  • Assist with customer inquiries.
  • Maintain knowledge of teller policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and balance cash drawer.
  • Promote and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio through Sales Management.
  • Achieve and maintain 80% of individual sales goal.
  • Participate in community involvement.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Department:  Retail Branches/Float Staff

Summary:  Provide a variety of customer transactions, as well as process customer requests.

Branch locations:  Wayne County, IN

Average hours/week:  Approx. 40 hours

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cashing handling experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills.
  • Basic clerical skills including working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to proactively solicit new business.
  • Physical requirement: May be required to stand for periods of time and may be required to lift bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.
